Travis Peak Church of Christ goes back more than 100 years. It
is located in the Travis Peak area on the north shore of Lake Travis
about six miles west of Lago Vista on Singleton Bend Road off of RR
1431. The area was settled during the late 1800s starting with
James Davidson in 1856, Waller Singleton in 1879 and Mason Singleton
in the 1880s. Mason Singleton was involved in starting the
Post Oak Bend Church of Christ which was later renamed Travis Peak
Church of Christ. In 1970 the church built its present building at
the corner of RR 1431 and Singleton Bend Road. In the early
1990s an educational wing/fellowship hall was added.
